Perched at an altitude of 1300m, Morgins is part of the huge Franco-Swiss ski area “Les Portes du Soleil”, and offers 650km of pistes at an average altitude between 900m and 2300m, and some 200 skilifts and chairlifts, all accessible with one single Skipass. This fabulous international ski area is an ideal destination to discover unspoilt nature in a unique location, with a change of pace. And what’s more, at the end of the day it is possible to ski down to the very heart of the resort. Cross-country skiers are not left out and can enjoy 20km of tracks close to Morgins, including the popular high-altitude track around the lake of Morgins. Other winter activities in the resort include horse-drawn sleigh rides, dog-sleigh rides, hang-gliding on skis, snowshoeing (13 trails with a total length of 64km), a natural ice track (floodlit in the evening) or snow go-karting. Night owls will certainly appreciate the party atmosphere in the bars, restaurants and the disco. There is also a programme of a variety of musical and sports events throughout the season.
